Journey Overview

Departing Chengdu and climbing steadily toward the plateau, we pause at Honghaizi where snow peaks dissolve into mirrored waters before following Airport Road S434 into a realm of wind-shaped ridgelines and endless sky. At Gedilam and across the grasslands of Tagong, prayer flags flicker against distant summits, while the dark stone corridors of Moshi Park rise like a forgotten citadel carved by time.
In Gunong Village and Barlangshengdu, highland light softens into golden silence before moments of travel photography capture the spirit of the plateau. At Muya Monastery, the low murmur of scripture and the turning of prayer wheels mark a slower rhythm of devotion. Crossing Zheduo Pass, clouds drift close enough to touch, and the road gently unwinds back to Chengdu — three days suspended between reflection, ritual, and vast open horizons.
