Journey Overview

Departing from Chengdu and ascending toward Maobiliang, the Four Sisters peaks rise in sculpted silence above deep alpine valleys. Through Danba and the mountain townships, the road unwinds toward the Yala Snow Mountain viewing platform, where prayer flags flicker against vast skies and ink-dark ridgelines. In Moshi Park and across the wide Tagong Grassland, stone forests and open pastures stretch beneath drifting clouds, before sunset finds us at Gedilam and Yuzixi, where golden light spills across endless ranges. Skirting Honghaizi and tracing Airport Road 434 into the crystalline lakes of Mugecuo near Kangding, the journey arcs back to Chengdu — three days woven with snow peaks, highland winds, and the changing colors of Western Sichuan.

Setting out from Chengdu, the road rises steadily from the Sichuan basin into the dramatic folds of the mountains. At Maobiliang, panoramic views unveil the majestic peaks of Siguniangshan standing in quiet grandeur against the sky. Continuing onward, snow summits tower above forested valleys and glacial streams before the journey reaches Danba or Siguniangshan Town, where ancient stone watchtowers and Tibetan homes rest among fertile hillsides. This route weaves together alpine spectacle, cultural landscapes, and highland serenity into a powerful mountain passage.
